There is a pronounced need to make visible the impact of digitalization on the Swedish school system. And a need for an increased common understanding of the opportunities and challenges of digitalization linked to the school's mission to political committees and boards.
RISE participates on behalf of the Swedish National Agency for Education in the development and implementation of the initiative "Leading digitization for committees and boards" and is responsible for design, development, and project management regarding the concrete implementation of the conferences and administrative preparations for these.
The background to the assignment lies in an identified need for increased common understanding between administration and politics or boards within school Sweden. A need for increased knowledge regarding the impact of digitalization, its opportunities and challenges linked to the school's assignments to political committees and boards' individual principals is the basis for the project's initiation.
Furthermore, a need has been identified regarding knowledge of the contexts in which digitalization affects related areas such as school law and the school's mission, student health and more.
The assignment is part of the collaboration between the Swedish National Agency for Education and RISE in the effort Leading digitization for committees and boards where RISE is an innovation-and development partner regarding design in educational development and design, and is responsible for project management regarding the concrete implementation of the conferences and administrative preparations for these.
