Junaid is working at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden AB as a Testing and Certification Engineer in the ESS team with a focus on testing, inspection, and certification areas, especially for Li-ion batteries. His interests include testing ESS products for the automotive market and working with IEC, UN, and UL standards for solid-state batteries.
His team's interests include Li-ion cells and modules testing as Fast RPT (Reference Performance Test), OCV (Open Circuit Voltage) tests, Short Circuit tests, Battery Cycling, Fast Charge, Overcharge and Fast Discharge tests, Thermal Cycling, Calendar and Accelerated Aging tests, Profile, Pulse, EIS (Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy), etc.
Junaid received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the UET University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore and his M.Sc. in Electrical Networks and Systems from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. He is a member of the Pakistan Engineering Council PEC and Sverige’s Ingenjörer.
