Kontakta CeciliaWelcome to a seminar with focus on recent development in the field of recycling and repurposing of wind turbine blades. The results from the project Rekovind2 performed by RISE Research Institutes of Sweden and financed by Swedish Energy Agency will be presented.
The challenge is here now - we are facing a whole new stream of complex composite waste from End-of-Life (EOL) glass fiber composite (GFRP) wind turbine blades.
The Rekovind2 project focus has been on building up knowledge and competence in Sweden to be able to manage waste streams of EoL wind turbine blades as a future circular material resource.
Rekovind2 have focused on enabling information to promote future handling of blades by mapping of EOL blades and development of a digital platform “Blade 2.0”. Another important topic investigated is a comparative study of the thermochemical recycling technologies pyrolysis and solvolysis.
