Register interest Gothenburg: SEEL Swedish Electric Transport Laboratory

There is something going on at Säve…

Out of the city where the bus stops a few times a day, a massive mysterious building is popping up! What now is a big dark shell, will in less than a year be a vibrant place filled with the latest equipment and the smartest brains within the field of electrification! About fifty co-workers at SEEL, researchers from the universities, engineers visiting from exiting partners and international guests will together make SEEL the meeting point within the field of electric transportation. If you ask us – there is no other place to be!

“-Our vision is to establish SEEL as a unique and leading European center”

Henrik Svenningstorp, CEO

About us
SEEL – Swedish Electric Transport Laboratory, a new test and research center for electrification, will open on the 31st of May 2023. SEEL is co-owned and co-managed by Chalmers University of Technology foundation, and RISE – Sweden’s research institute – working alongside the industrial partners we need to make the transition to electromobility a success.

We will offer test, research and verification on energy storage, electric machines, drivelines and complete vehicle testing. The equipment will be brand new and when we welcome our clients at the opening day, they will meet both a Heavy-duty complete vehicle tempered test cell and a Light duty complete vehicle test cell, heavy duty and light duty powertrain rigs, electric machine rigs and ISO 3745 NVH rig with axle dyno.

At SEEL, we work with an inclusive attitude where our people can be themselves. Every idea and perspective are valued, and we empower employees to take responsibility and grow. Equality is a priority for SEEL, we aim to develop a diverse and inclusive working place.

About the job openings
Curious about if your profile and SEEL could be a great match? Apply to this ad to find out! We are already up and running with the recruitments and will continue the work along the way. We are looking forward to welcome experienced engineers, technicians, mechanics, rig operators and maintenance and operations personnel who can manage advanced battery test equipment - and several other future friends!

We cannot promise easy jobs, but what we can offer is an exciting journey where, together with committed and knowledgeable colleagues, we will contribute to a sustainable future and be at the forefront.

Who are you?
We are looking for skilled individuals, preferably with experiences related to the industry. Your educational background is probably in the technical field. We communicate in Swedish or/and English, you need to be fluent in at least one of the languages. However, good knowledge in English is a merit. A driver’s license is great to have as well (remember what we told you about the buses…) and for some position, even mandatory.

At SEEL we will work with an inclusive attitude and empower employees to take responsibility, that’s why we need driven people ready to grow. SEEL has a challenge to be proficient fast after opening day and a key to success will be to have both a holistic and operational view and to support the team when and where it is most needed.

Help us develop our electric future
Join us at SEEL and together we’ll drive the conversion to fossil-free transport. Although our ambitions are grand, we’re a small, agile organization. That means you’ll make impactful decisions and see your good ideas put into practice.

If this seems exciting and challenging, submit your application no later than 2023-05- 31.

We regularly compare those who have registered an interest with the needs of the organization and new openings, and will notify you of any suitable positions. Please note, however, that unfortunately we are unable to provide an individual response when your register your interest.
