Contact HenrikRISE offers type testing and quality assurance of wood boilers, pellet boilers and pellet burners. We perform measurements of performance and emissions. We offer an independent, nationally unique and accredited test lab with experienced employees, who have extensive knowledge in boilers using solid fuels.
New wood and pellet boilers that use solid fuels, such as wood, pellets and briquettes, have to have an energy label. The idea of energy labeling is to make it easier for consumers to make energy-smart choices, so that they can choose an efficient product with low wood or pellet consumption. In addition, in 2020 energy labeling was supplemented by an eco-design requirement from the EU with requirements for efficiency and emissions, which will reduce emissions from small-scale heating. Properly used and with efficient equipment, small-scale solid fuel will contribute to achieve climate and energy policy goals, since the fuel is renewable.
Testing is carried out in RISE's own combustion lab in Borås by experienced staff. The testing results can be used as basis for certification. Our testing experts are also active in standardisation work, which gives us good insight into the regulations.
RISE offers testing and certification of wood boilers, pellet boilers and pellet burners according to:
The measurement results are analysed and presented in a testing report in the desired language.
