Wood technology more common as we transition to a fossil-free society
As we travel through the Swedish landscape, the most common material we see might well be timber. In parallel with our imperative change to a more sustainable mindset, the demand for timber and the necessary knowledge to grow, process and engineer it will increase. Wood technology is the science of how we can best utilise timber. This may deal with how to design and develop standards, as well as developing knowledge about how wood functions. All so that industry will be able to cultivate, process and sell wood in the optimal manner in a sustainable society.
