Conference Framhall

Welcome to the conference on the future of public spaces in Halland. How can we use foresight methods to shape our cities – and what happens when we do it together?

Between December and June, a development project has been carried out focusing on the future of public spaces in Halland. Using three different foresight methods, representatives from municipalities and other societal actors have explored future scenarios for strategically important sites in Varberg and Halmstad. The aim has been both to learn and to practically apply these methods as tools for long-term urban development.

We now invite you to a concluding conference where we will share insights, present results from the workshops, and discuss how foresight methods can be used in municipal development work. Among other things, we will present visions for the year 2049 – developed through local collaborations, with a focus on blue-green infrastructure in coastal Varberg and mobility in a new district in Halmstad.

You can choose to attend the full day or just the morning session, which provides an introduction to the project’s approach and insights. All participants are invited to a joint lunch with opportunities for networking and knowledge exchange.

You can find the agenda on the registration page.
