Since 2017, I have dedicated my research to the user-driven data economy, aligning with the human-centric approach advocated by Industry 5.0. My aim is to identify and understand the non-monetary personal costs social media users face in their interactions with platforms. This involves primarily focusing on the zero-price economy, examining the exchange of value between users and platforms, where personal data is traded for access to seemingly free applications. Additionally, my research explores the creator economy, investigating its effects on social media influencers. Furthermore, my research extends to certain aspects of the decentralized economy, encompassing blockchain technology and the token economy.
