Overall migration from materials to food

Food contact safety is an issue of very high concern for all kinds of materials and products. Our core activity in this area is analysis of materials intended for food contact (FCM).

Purpose

We offer testing in compliance with EU Commission Regulation 10/2011.

The analytical results serve as the basis for demonstrating compliance with regulations, and support product development and problem solving.

Method

The material or product is exposed to a food simulant at relevant conditions. Available food simulants are aqueous simulants, 95% ethanol, isooctane, olive oil or MPPO (Tenax®). The overall migration is determined gravimetrically

The analyses are accredited according to ISO 17025.

Deliveries

The results are compiled into an analytical report.
