Contact GustavIn Sweden, the first fuel cell electric heavy duty trucks are soon to be launched and the refueling infrastructure for hydrogen is being expanded. Is it therefore, in practice, profitable for haulage companies to offer transports fueled by hydrogen?
When fuel cell electric heavy trucks are introduced to the Swedish market, haulage companies are asking themselves if they are suitable for their operations. Therefore, there is a need for a close to business analysis of economics, safety, practical differences, customer value, and more for transport offers powered by hydrogen.
The project brings forth new knowledge and studies how heavy fuel cell electric transports can be carried out in practice in long-distance transport. The implementation is based on business-specific data and interviews that form the basis for a system analysis. The analysis will describe what a transport mission powered by hydrogen could look like.
The project's results are compiled in a report that will be the basis for a potential pilot project, if deemed appropriate, where fuel cell electric trucks are used to carry out transport missions. Documents produced within the project will be available on this page.
