Subimal Majee is a Senior Scientist and Project Leader at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, with over a decade of experience in materials science, additive manufacturing, and sustainable electronics. He leads multidisciplinary European, national, and industrial R&D projects, driving innovation and advancing research in sustainable and flexible electronic materials.
His expertise spans 2D materials, including graphene, flexible and wearable printed electronics, nanoparticle inks, battery materials, and innovative electrode coating and drying methods. He also specializes in digital printing techniques such as inkjet and aerosol-jet printing, as well as life cycle assessment (LCA), environmental product declarations (EPD), and integrating sustainability metrics into advanced R&D projects.
Subimal has a proven track record of translating research into industrial impact, mentoring early-career researchers, and collaborating with academic and industrial partners to develop demonstrators, prototypes, and patented technologies. He has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications and delivered invited talks at international conferences.
He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from École Polytechnique, France, and holds Master degrees in Material Science and Electronics & Communication from École Polytechnique and the University of Calcutta. Subimal is a Senior Member of IEEE and actively contributes as a reviewer for high-impact scientific journals.
