I received the Ph.D degree of Materials (Polymer) Processing Engineering at Sichuan University in China, which is the one of the most well known universities in China in the area of polymer science and technology. I have a strong background of processing-structure-property interrelationship of polymeric materials. During the Ph.D course I worked full time as a research assistant in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in Hong Kong, China. After Ph.D course, I worked full time in two years as a postdoctoral researcher in the group of wood and bionanocomposites in the Department of Engineering Science and Mathematics at Luleå University of Technology in Sweden.
From end of March 2011, I started full time as a researcher at Swerea SICOMP focusing on materials and manufacturing of bio-based- and nano-modified composites, as well as the industrial production and application of the developed materials/composites. Since November 2017, I was promoted as a senior scientist. My main research areas are listed as below:
• (Nano)composite processing and characterization and industrial applications
• Nanomaterials from renewable resources
• Bio-based (nano)composites
• Design, processing and evaluation of new composite products based on forestry and agricultural resources
• Rheological measurements of soft systems: experimental rheology of both linear and nonlinear measurements of soft systems including melts and suspensions of polymeric materials
• Deformation behavior and fracture mechanism
• Creep behavior of polymeric materials
• Nano-enabled multifunctional composite materials
• Recycling of composite materials
I have been and am involved as principal researcher and/or acting as project coordinator in more than 13 EU and VINNOVA projects which can be viewed in my profile.
