How the EU’s new cybersecurity regulations affect your products

Seminar on how EU cybersecurity regulations affect your products

The EU is tightening security requirements for digital products – and the changes are set to affect the entire industry. New regulations such as the Cyber Resilience Act and the AI Regulation are placing higher demands on everything from design to responsibility and compliance. What does this mean in practice? RISE will guide you in this seminar.

Both the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and the upcoming AI Regulation introduce new obligations for manufacturers, developers and suppliers. This affects everything from product design and documentation to responsibility allocation, certification and technical compliance.

What do the regulations mean – and how are they connected? At this seminar, RISE experts will explain what the CRA and AI Regulation mean in practice, and how you can prepare to stay one step ahead.

You will learn

  • What CRA means for connected products and how the requirements are being implemented
  • How the AI Regulation affects cybersecurity work in AI-based systems
  • Which products and organisations are covered
  • What you need to do to achieve compliance – both technically and organisationally
  • How you can prepare now

Who should attend?

The seminar is aimed at those working with product development, cyber security, regulatory compliance, AI systems and digital services. Whether you are a manufacturer, integrator, supplier or developer, you will gain insights that will help you navigate the new regulatory framework.

About the regulations

The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) aims to strengthen the cybersecurity of digital products on the EU market. It sets requirements for secure design, vulnerability management and incident reporting – and covers both hardware and software. The CRA will come into force in September 2026 and become fully mandatory in December 2027.

The AI Regulation is the EU's new law regulating the use of artificial intelligence, with specific requirements for high-risk AI. It will enter into force in 2025 and become fully applicable in 2026.
