Contact MattiasThe new Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) has set the entire packaging industry in motion. The regulation introduces new requirements for recyclability, the proportion of recycled material in packaging, and mandates for reuse. The National Center for Sustainable Plastics invites you to a webinar on how the industry is adapting.
On October 15, we gather representatives from various parts of the plastics value chain for a focused discussion on how the industry is practically transitioning.
We look ahead to practical solutions. How is the industry working to make packaging more recyclable, and how can recycled materials be used in new packaging?
Hear how design, material choices, and brand identity are affected as new requirements for recyclability and recycled content come into force. What compromises are possible – and which properties are essential to preserve?
Together with brand owners and manufacturers, we delve into questions such as:
Representatives from the National Center for Sustainable Plastics will also share insights on recyclability and highlight differences in conditions across Europe.
Register to gain concrete insights into how the packaging of the future is being shaped – at the intersection of regulation, innovation, and sustainability.
About PPWR
The new EU regulation replaces the old packaging directive to reduce packaging waste, increase reuse and recycling. It introduces new requirements for packaging design, material selection, and handling, including design criteria to improve recyclability, minimization of unnecessary packaging, and restrictions on certain substances such as PFAS. PPWR is set to take effect from August 2026.
