Contact AntonWelcome to the final seminar of the research project Digital Vision Kista.
During the afternoon, the results of the project will be presented, and for those attending in person in Kista, there will be an opportunity to view mock-ups and prototypes developed by the project, as well as to discuss the applications of digital twins.
Digital Vision Kista is a research project funded by Smart Built Environment, driven by the project partners the City of Stockholm, RISE, Kista Limitless, Kista Science City, Ericsson, S:t Eriks Kommunikation, and Stockholm Exergi. The aim of the project is to develop an understanding of how Swedish municipalities can use digital twins, and how the vast amount of IoT sensor data available in our societies can be transformed into the knowledge needed to make decisions that support achieving the Agenda 2030 goals on a larger scale
The project has been based in Kista, a district in the City of Stockholm, and a digital twin has been developed for the area using the mapping data and other information collected during the project. The project has included a comprehensive needs assessment related to the use of digital twins for urban districts, the development of mock-ups and prototypes based on the identified needs, and specific technical tests focused on data collection and the construction of a digital twin. Among the technical tests carried out are data collection from sensors and cameras, as well as AI-based interpretation of this data. Based on the lessons learned from the project, a guidance document is also presented to support municipalities and cities in the development of a digital twin.
The project is now coming to its end and during the seminar there will be an opportunity to hear about the insights gained, explore the final results, and — for those attending in person — view mock-ups.
