Energy-efficient swimming facilities
Operating swimming pools requires a lot of energy
The purpose of the project is to document and evaluate the energy saving potential and possible risks of reduced ventilation combined with pool coverage and changes in the operation of the water treatment system in a swimming pool facility. The project will also study how different operating cases affect water treatment plants (need for chemicals), energy use, and indoor climate (temperature, RH and trichloramine content in the air) to get a holistic view of the effects of energy savings.
