Contact NiklasAs environmental awareness increases, climate benefit becomes essential to what makes living environments attractive. What clear trends exist relating to attractive housing, and who decides what is built? How do planning architects express their visions, what do residents want, and how do property developers interpret what is attractive?

Most builders of wooden prefab housing have their factories in smaller towns. How can multi-level collaboration be established between cities and the countryside? How can three perspectives on climate-resilient and economically competitive building systems in wood from small towns and rural areas build our growing cities?

The New European Bauhaus initiative was launched just over a year ago. An extensive process of change must take place to create a sustainable society, and the built environment will need to change. How is this intended to be achieved, and what can we learn from the history of change processes?

Raw materials and resources are not infinite. Industrialism and constant, heedless growth have resulted in a carbon footprint that may be impossible to reverse. People must begin to reuse and recycle in all possible contexts. For this, all approaches and initiatives are positive.

A better structure is required for how the State provides incentives and support for welfare innovation in municipalities, regions, and government agencies. Particularly in terms of ensuring the broad implementation of preventive and early initiatives relating to crime prevention, mental health, and an equal standard of living.

Glass has become one of the most important materials in the built environment, since glass is used extensively in building exteriors, large windows, conservatories, interior glass walls, etc. But what is the industry doing to meet the requirements for sustainability in Agenda 2030? The UN has officially declared that 2022 is the Year of Glass.

How are regions and municipalities transitioning themselves or with outside inspiration? Since 1994, the number of municipalities and regions that have promoted construction with fossil fuel-efficient materials, such as wood, has increased.
In recent years, regional and municipal wood construction strategies have become more common in order to speed up change, along with other approaches such as ownership directives and climate strategies. What results have been achieved and how does this contribute to the 2030 Paris Agreement goals? This constitutes one part of our focus on the New European Bauhaus sub-goal Sustainable Construction
