Pilot environment for papermaking

A complete pilot environment for papermaking, with clients from all over the world.

The FEX pilot facility is a complete pilot environment for papermaking. The facility includes a B.A.T.-based management and processing system for fibres, an advanced chemical processing system, a complete paper machine (two-layer) and two at-line dryers.

Develop your paper making

The facility is designed to be a copy of an industrial facility. FEX is unique among pilot plants around the world, as it has a complete water management system, which results in a closed system that reaches equilibrium after short transition phases. FEX is therefore particularly suitable for experiments that focus on paper or process chemistry.

More recently, tests have also been carried out outside the field of paper, in the form of tests for new materials, textile materials, etc.
