Contact HannaThe need for circular conversion is great in many industries, not least in the automotive industry and for mobility in society at large. Electrification and circular economy are two factors that are of great relevance.
The aim of The circular car (pre-study) was to build tangible visions enabling Sweden having a circularly adapted car fleet with fossil free and climate neutral transports in 2045. With a systemic approach to the circular car, and with engaged actors from the whole value chain, including e.g. manufacturing, cars sharing actors, and users (private and public), we saw it possible to contribute to the acceleration of the circular transition and in the process, support new and established actors. The effect being that we help to enable necessary and disruptive changes to meet current and future climate and environmental challenges and to reduce vulnerability and resource challenges in the value chains.
The circular car (pre-study) has resulted in a step two application. The aim of The circular car project is to, with a profound systems perspective, support new and established actors in the entire value chain so that they jointly can accelerate the transition to a car fleet adapted for circularity in 2045. To reach this aim, the project goal is that stakeholders from the whole car value chain (represented in the project as project partners) will develop organization-specific action plans for circular transition that support the transition of the entire value chain, and implement concrete short- and long-term measures for circular transitions that are part of those action plans.
