FINEST - Innovation of the Swedish food system

FINEST is a four-year center initiative that will contribute to the development and innovation of the Swedish food system. In this work package, knowledge about innovation in the food sector is developed together with the actors.

To enable more innovations in the food system, more knowledge is needed about how different actors can both collaborate and develop their internal processes.

This is how we take on the challenges

The purpose of  this workpackage is to develop knowledge about how companies in the food sector, and in the different parts of the value chain work with innovation, what challenges they face and how they can develop their ability to innovate. Both individually and together.

In close collaboration with ICA and Hushållningssällskapet, a doctoral project was initiated in 2021 and a doctoral student is recruited. In the PhD-project various forms of collaboration between actors will be addressed.

We create FINEST toghether

At FINEST, we address issues that are too large and too difficult for the individual player to solve on their own. The knowledge we create together is an important key to achieving a sustainable transformation of the food system.
