Remote measurements
By monitoring a component during operation the pertinent conditions can be better understood which allows for optimization using more realistic loads and conditions. Such measurements can, for example, be carried out to measure the loads carried by a structural component and/or to monitor deformations and vibrations during operation.
The available system can handle up to 16 channels and is set up on site with the desired sensors and gauges. Measurements can then be monitored, recorded and analyzed off site.
The system support various sensors and can be adapted to the costumer's needs.
The measurement system is currently used in the Fresher project (see link below) to monitor forces in the mooring lines of a floating solar park. Thanks to its resistance to rain and splashing water, the system is suitable for different kinds of measurements close to water.
The measurement system has also found an application in the HCT-City project, where it will be used to measure vibrations at a bridge in order to count the number of passing trucks.
