Hydrogen can be used to store, transport and provide energy. It is extremely flexible, as hydrogen can be produced from all types of energy sources. The hydrogen storage could also be used for balancing the grid through power-to-gas and gas-to-power solutions.
Fuel cells, fuelled with hydrogen, are capable of replacing combustion engines in vehicles, machines and for maritime applications, as well as providing energy for buildings. When using renewable sources for the hydrogen production a zero emission solution is obtained.

We work in project form with regional, national and European projects and with direct assignments for industry. RISE is often the coordinating partner for different types of triple-helix constellations, but we can also support organizations and projects as innovation partner.
