Digitalisation for the public sector

Sweden's goal is to be the best in the world at using the possibilities of digitalisation. An efficient and innovative public sector is therefore of great importance.
A prerequisite for digital information exchange within and with the public sector are standards and open and shareable data to strengthen the power of innovation.

What is needed to promote development?

Clear governance is needed for the following categories of shared governance needs: Digital Services, Information Exchange, Information Management, Trust and Security. New management and faster adaptation of rules and laws that match the digital development. Improved digital maturity and digital capabilities are required in the public sector

How can RISE contribute to the work?

We carry out everything from small-scale pilot projects, to national testbeds, to large development projects on a national or international basis. We conduct forward-looking research in artificial intelligence, open and shared data, urban development, big data analytics and learning. We are specialists in Digital transformation and sustainable transition and help the public sector with Twin transition. We have been at the forefront of research and have the ability to transform research results into practical application for activities within central authorities, regions or municipalities.
