Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry identifies many materials

Materials and processes need to identify their products. Using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry facilitates the work and it is often used in connection with problem solving and environmental issues. The instrument is very useful in the analysis of organic compounds.

Purpose

All types of samples, whether liquid or solid, can be analyzed. Samples that are solid are heated and the gas that is formed is identified.

  • Microanalysis of dots

  • Extractives -also group separation

Organic acids: levulinic acid, ethanol, glycerol and lactic acid, formic acid, acetic acid, furan derivatives hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) and furfural. We also measure organic acids in black liquors.
