Contact TingThis project will map testbeds, competences and infrastructures in Sweden, that can support companies in different phases of graphene innovation. The project has also identified the need for education and a formal network in the area.
Based on the on-going and previous SIO Grafen projects along with industrial needs, this project identifies obstacles for graphene innovation in using testbeds and national infrastructures for commercial applications. A lack of guidance and information about what testbeds and competences are available for graphene innovation has been a common obstacle for many nationally funded innovation projects and commercial commission works.
Therefore, this project will map test beds and other infrastructure in Sweden, which can be useful in graphene innovation. The mapping will be available for companies to search via SIO Grafen's website.
The project also sees a need for education and plans to hold an open doctoral course at Linköping University, which will give doctoral students and researchers increased knowledge about graphene and a better insight into the challenges the industry is facing today. The course is intended to be open to other universities as well as to the industry in order to further train R&D personnel for graphene innovation.
The mapping of testbeds will be a reference point for issues related to standardization and work environment issues. The project works to further strengthen Swedish industry, and also international parts of the graphene value chain, to promote graphene innovation and development in the field. Among other things, the project plans to arrange workshops, conferences and study visits to selected test beds and share results from case studies in the project, all to further strengthen Swedish industry in the area.
