Melker of Sweden AB manufactures biobased kayaks and aims for international expansion. In the project, we will explore rapid tools using 3D printing technology to increase kayak production and reduce waste.
This is a step towards a digitized circular business model. The project's results will confirm the value of 3D printing for increasing the productivity of biobased kayaks with fiber laminate and resin infusion. Additionally, it will demonstrate the potential to decrease energy consumption and overall costs by reducing waste throughout the kayak's lifecycle.
The project promotes circular plastic recycling and sustainable development, aligning with UN goals 12.5 and 12.8. It strives to reduce environmental impact and promote eco-friendly lightweight products.
