Traceability and Digital Product Passports

-enablers of your future business

In the near future, all products sold within the EU will need a so-called digital product passport (DPP). This brings a new level of traceability based on augmented physical objects. It will also bring entirely new requirements on availability and quality of product data for both manufacturers and importers.

In essence, this development presents a whole new innovation platform where new business logic can thrive. Circular business opportunities will emerge and new business models can be designed based on the value and availability of data.

This will all come into force with the new regulations and standards from the EU.

In this seminar, you will meet: Pernilla Dahlman, Senior Business Advisor in the Circular Business Lab at RISE, Raul Carlsson, Senior researcher, Certification at RISE and Tatiana Nevzorova, Researcher Certification at RISE. Raul Carlsson holds the position of Chairman of the European standardization technical committee CEN/TC473 Circular economy, which will set standards to support the transition to a circular Europe.

The new digital product passport is part of the "Ecodesign for sustainable products regulation", abbreviated ESPR, which the EU is expected to adopt in 2024. The proposal aims to make sustainable products the norm in the EU's internal market and to reduce the environmental impact products throughout their lifetime .

The webinar will cover
