Fire test according to ISO 3795

ISO 3795- Test method - Road vehicles - Determination of flammability of internal materials in cars, tractors and forest and agricultural machinery.

Purpose

The method is used to determine burn rate for products used internally in vehicles.

The main purpose is to determine the burning rate of materials within 13 mm of the occupant compartment. Materials can be tested individually or in combination.

Method

The test is conducted inside a test chamber where the test specimen is mounted horizontally. The exposed side of the test specimen is subjected to a gas flam from underneath. The burnt distance and the time taken to burn this distance is measured during the test. The result, the burning rate, is expressed in mm/min.

Deliveries

A test report, in Swedish or English, is deliverd with the test results after testing.
