Bio-composites in combination with 3D printing
We have had three Vinnova projets for development of technical solutions to combine bio-composite with 3D printing techniques. AMPOFORM (2016-2020) for prosthesis; BioCom-PPS (2017-2021) for personalized products and services; BRECIAM (2021-2024) for development of a new 3D printing technique capable of handeling of multiple materials.
The projects aim at developing a technological platform that enables resource effective manufacturing technologies and processes. The platform includes materials solutions based on bio-renewable sources like forest and AM technologies that are capable of handling the bi-based materials to create optimal final product's quality.
In addition, design for circularity will also be an important part of these projects.
