Jacob is an industrial PhD student at RISE and KTH. His research project is on transparency in algorithmic decision making, focusing initially on the insurance industry. He has a background in Political Science and has previously worked at the think tank Fores with Digital Society issues. At RISE SICS, Jacob has worked with issues regarding the social impact of digitalization in both practical and policy applications, with a focus on issues regarding privacy, as well as dealing with how technology can be used in more ethical ways by the private and public sectors.
