Viscous Bulge test - biaxiell strain measurement of sheet metals

Mätning av biaxiella töjningar genom viscous bulge provning.

Cause

Produce hardening curves for different sheet materials and their plasticity. This is interesting for forming of sheet applications and as data to forming simulations.

Method

A sheet metal specimen is pressed against a silicon bulge, different hardness/Stiffness for different material qualities. This is to create a hydrostatic pressure against the metal. Theoretically one can achieve strain levels of up to 40-50% before necking appear.
