Seminar: How do we use our forest?

The future of the forest and the use of our Swedish forest are widely discussed in today's society. We want to be able to bring down the discussion from researchers and experts to the general public and high school students. We collect researchers and experts who get 2h to try to give a clear overview of what is happening, followed by debate.

The purpose of the seminar is to open up for discussion, make research results available and increase the public's knowledge of industries linked to the forest. We want to be able to use the forest as a source of more sustainable materials, fuels and energy.

At the same time as we already use forest raw materials in the existing forest sector and as fuel for heating plants. We have also seen, especially in the past year, that more people want to spend their free time in the forest as a tourist.

What do researchers do now? What do you think and what can you do? The seminar wants to provide space to nuance the picture and facilitate debate. We are guaranteed to answer the question "How do we use our forest?". We will also ask the participants for help to answer the question: "How do we want to use the forest?".
