The project aims to produce a simplified environmental declaration that objectively and cost-effectively describes the environmental impact of goods and services with information that can both contribute to customers' sustainability work, and be able to contribute to a transition to more circular material and product systems.
Purpose and implementation
Subcontracting companies often lack knowledge and guidance on how future EU legislation and standards in the environmental field may affect their goods and services. The small and medium-sized enterprises in particular must therefore strengthen their competence with regard to sustainability aspects linked to areas such as material substitution, recycled raw materials, resource-efficient products and processes in an LCA perspective. The aim is to help companies at a strategic level to understand how the ability to meet international standards and sustainability requirements from customers can contribute to increased attractiveness, strengthened competitiveness and improved profitability. This project aims to give companies' knowledge and tools to initiate a green industrial change and renewal in accordance with, among other things, the EU's Green Deal, where the EU has committed to becoming the world's first climate-neutral continent before 2050.
With the support of available standards regarding the environmental impact of products and processes, to develop the companies' strategic insight into the ecological perspective in the entire value chain, ie how to declare their products and services based on established and recognized standards.
