Management of water from construction process

At a construction process several types of water can occur which vary in quality and volume and which need to be managed. Common guidelines in the industry that describe which quality and volume that can be expected from each type of water create conditions for managing the water as sustainable as possible.

Within this project water types that can arise in construction processes will be identified and described together with expected quality and volume, as well as the conditions that may affect the nature of the water. Recommendation will be given for new guidelines, procedures and requirements for managing construction process water. This includes for example which documentation should be developed and at what stage of the construction process, how follow-up is to be carried out and what methodology for requirements should be used when procuring a contactor. This will create the conditions for protecting the environment and recipients as well as create explicit tender documents which is a prerequisite for estimating the scope of measures and decrease the risk of supplementation arising afterwards.

The project is carried out is such a way that the entire construction industry can assimilate the results.
