Efficient systems for heating, hot water and cooling in Chinese campus
This project focuses on campuses area since these are important both for knowledge transformation and that the awareness of sustainability in China. The project goal is to show potentials in using system solutions on district (campus area) level which in the long run will result in that these systems are built and implemented in reality.
Aim and goal
This project intention is to develop and suggest system solutions for efficient use of energy and resources for heating, hot water and cooling for Chinese campus areas. The main goal with the project is to show potentials in using system solutions on district (campus area) level which in the long run will result in that these systems are built and implemented in reality. Also, this project will create possibilities for the Swedish project partners to gather information and contacts to identify their products in Chinese market and export possibility.
Campuses are very large energy user in China. The use of “campus energy management system” is an important tool to achieve energy conservation. However, there is a large potential, which has not been explored, using system solutions from a district (campus area) perspective rather than on building/component level to reduce energy use.
This project will develop system solutions including combinations of products and systems for renewable energy production, energy storage, water saving, waste heat/cold recovery and transfer of energy between buildings and activities. These solutions have potential to increase renewable energy use and reduce energy consumption for campus areas.
This project will help to increase use of renewable energy, and reduce energy use as well as related CO2-footprint etc. Also, it will increase export of Swedish technology, solutions and products to China.
