AI in the Sky: Proactive Interference Monitoring for the Ovzon Satellite Network

The ASIMOV project aims to exploit machine learning techniques for spectrum anomaly detection and interference identification in the satellite link and to assess the feasibility of implementing it in the hub, in the user ground terminal and in the satellite.

Expected results and effects

At the end of the project, Overhorizon will have (i) the competence to assess the applicability of AI-solutions, (ii) a ML-powered scheme for spectrum monitoring that can evaluate the spectrum, (iii) a ML-powered scheme that could detect and classify interference. A successful outcome of the project results in an efficient monitoring and rapid reduction of interference, an interference-free satellite link contributes to a more efficient energy usage for data transmission.
