LaborBerlin testing laboratory handles over six million samples annually. They are transported by lorry, bicycle messenger, taxi, pneumatic tube and via an internal rail network. In order to reduce transportation times and costs, RISE is collaborating with LaborBerlin and the Technical University of Berlin to develop a method that uses drones as a delivery method.

I PIMM-projektet togs tekniken fram för att precisionsstyra en hjullastare med hjälp av ett mobilt nätverk – 400 meter under jorden – med föraren i ett kontor ovan mark. När tekniken finns behöver den göras tillgänglig på marknaden. I det efterföljande projektet PIMM DMA har RISE och projektpartners riktat in sig på affärsutveckling och paketering av koncepten som tagits fram.
