Contact FredrikThe international standard ISO 26262:2018 is used for ensuring functional safety of electric/electronic (E/E) systems in safety-related functionality in road vehicles. This course focuses on the lifecycle for hardware development in ISO 26262.
The goal of the course is to give hardware developers in the automotive domain an understanding of the parts of ISO 26262 that are most relevant to them. Building on the ISO 26262 overview course, this course goes deeper into primarily part 5 of the standard – Product development at the hardware level, but also covers some of the requirements in parts 6, 7, 8, and 9 that are related to the hardware development. A special focus is on the methods for evaluation of effects of random hardware failures.
The course is primarily suited for engineers involved in the development of automotive E/E systems.
The course ISO 26262:2018 Overview or equivalent knowledge. The participant should have some experience working with embedded E/E-systems.
