Research in collaboration: doctorates as a bridge between academia and internship

Municipalities are facing huge changes of society, which calls for new forms of collaboration and co-production of knowledge. One of several ways to collaborate long-term is through professional doctorates. A professional doctorate is a research student who is employed and conducts most of his research outside the academy.

During the day different perspectives are given to professional doctorates, what are the challenges for each party and what can it contribute to developing both the practical and the scientific activities?
