Recyclable plastic packaging

Today, only a small part of the plastic packaging is recycled, which is a huge waste of resources. Welcome to a seminar with the purpose to provide an understanding of why some plastic packaging is recyclable and how plastic recycling is performed.

A major reason why so little plastic packaging material are recycled is that packaging today is not designed to be recycled. This in turn may be due to lack of knowledge or confusion of to design a recyclable packaging.

The goal of the seminar is to train and inform packaging stakeholders to create a common view of how packaging should be designed to be recyclable without compromising the quality of the product.

Parts from the programme:

  • How to design a recyclable packaging?
  • Various plastic materials including bioplastics
  • How does collection and recycling work?
  • What does the future look like, what requirements and opportunities can be expected?
  • Why recycle? What is most useful for the environment?
