I am scientist at RISE, Processum. I have 8+ years of research experience on electrocatalysis, charge transport, CO2 reduction and water splitting. I have completed my PhD from University of Hyderabad, India. Before joining RISE, I have worked as a postdoc with Prof. Sascha Ott at Uppsala University, Sweden and Prof. Idan Hod at Ben Gurion University, Israel. I am experienced in writing research proposals for funding and executing target specific research projects within expected timeline. I have published research articles and review articles in high impact international peer reviewed journals. The focus of my work at RISE Processum is electrochemical valorisation of biomass, synthesis of bio-fuel, electrochemical CO2 reduction and green hydrogen production. I am also working towards upscaling of electrochemical processes with a particular focus on forest based residual streams. For example, we are working towards utilization of common side product of biorefinery industry, e.g., lignin, cellulose etc. for bio-fuel and useful chemical synthesis using electrochemical techniques. Our work on electrochemical CO2 reduction attempts to prepare C1-C3 chemicals. We have ongoing research on water purification using electrochemical techniques. We also plan to scale up the electrochemical process concepts and perform techno-economic evaluations. The overall goal is to utilize electrochemical techniques for developing sustainable processes relevant to biorefinery and bio-economy.
