Raphaël has expertise in Semantic Web technologies (Metadata, Ontology, RDF, OWL, SPARQL...), as well as in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Knowledge Representation and Reasoning.
Raphaël is a researcher in the Applied AI & IoT unit at RISE. He holds a PhD degree in Computer Science from Côtes d'Azur University and a degree in Biology. During his PhD, he focused on integrating knowledge from knowledge graphs into a vector representation of electronic medical records to prevent patient hospitalization in an application designed for physicians and patients. Then, he contributed to the creation of a knowledge graph about the COVID-19 virus scientific literature, which includes named entities, arguments, and metadata from scientific literature, and worked on interlinking this data.
More recently, he worked on developing ETL pipelines and geospatial reasoning, as well as optimizing the energy consumption of smart buildings using Semantic Web technologies.
