Hanna de la Motte
Affärs- och innovationsområdeschef

Hanna de la Motte is VP of the Business and Innovation Area Material Transition. In the area, RISE works with future material production, sustainable business models and material recycling. She works in particular to create a better understanding of how materials can be better handled over the life cycle by looking at collaboration between different actors from a system perspective, such as the pulp and paper industry, the chemical industry and bio / return refineries.
Hanna has broad competence in e.g. material development, recycling of materials (mainly textiles and plastics), cellulose science, analytical and organic chemistry. Hanna also has several years of experience in project management from both large interdisciplinary and system-wide projects (eg Mistra Future Fashion, where she had a leading role) and smaller research projects.
Hanna has a PhD in organic chemistry from Chalmers University of Technology, where she still supervises students and postdocs. She also conducts guest research together with BOKU University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna. She did her undergraduate degree (M.Sc.) at the Department of Chemistry at Lund University, with an emphasis on organic chemistry.
