What has been your biggest knowledge gap when it comes to food contact materials?

We see a challenge when it comes to materials that does not have harmonized legislation yet, that also where we see our biggest knowledge gap.

What would you give for recommendations to other companies who want to take the next step when it comes to food contact materials?

If there are big knowldge gaps, take a training, discuss issues with colleagues within Normpack's network. If the competence is there it is usually a lack of routines within the company. In that case the issues has to be brought up higher in the organization to ensure enough resources to improve.

How do you prepare for the upcoming supervision that the Swedish National Food Agency will introduce shortly?

We ensure that all necessary documentation is in place. The biggest challenge is with the assortment that we distribute, the trademark products. It is often that the traceability is not complete and the competence regarding FCM varies amongst the trademark owners.
