Mathias Flansbjer is a researcher at RISE with long experience of experimental work in combination with numerical modelling. He is a PhD in structural engineering with a focus on concrete and composite structures at Chalmers. His personal research interest lies in experimental mechanics with measurement techniques such as optical deformation measurement and Acoustic Emission. A strategic combination of advanced modelling and experimental testing at different scale levels enables a deeper understanding of the mechanical behaviour of materials and structures.
