ChemSec starts initiative for stricter regulation of PFAS

28 May 2020, 15:57

ChemSec has started the initiative ChemSec’s PFAS movement with the goal to enforce stricter regulation of PFAS chemicals.

The Swedish NGO ChemSec has started the ChemSec’s PFAS Movement, an initiative around PFAS directed from companies to legislators which calls for stricter regulation of PFAS chemicals. ChemSec wants as many brands as possible to sign the initiative. Right now H&M, Houdini Sportswear, Kingfisher, Coop Denmark, Stadium, KappAhl and Nilson Group have signed.

You do not need to phase out PFAS from your products to sign the initiative; the overall commitment you make is to declare that PFAS is a serious problem. ChemSec’s goal is to enforce stricter regulation of PFAS chemicals and they believe this will help progressive companies to phase out PFAS from their products. When a company signs, ChemSec announces it on social media and on our webpage.

If you are interested in signing, please go to ChemSec’s webpage or contact Alice Hyllstam.
