Carolina is responsible for MRC Automotive Corrosion, a membership program consisting of more than 35 international companies from the automotive industry. Carolina is also responsible for several research projects, for example thin-film pretreatment as a replacement for phosphating in the automotive industry and the impact of corrosion on aluminum adhesive joints with various types of pretreatments.
Carolina works with accelerated corrosion testing in climate and corrosion chambers according to automotive standards, with field testing in road environments (so-called mobile exposure) and atmospheric corrosion testing.
Carolina also works with contract research in issues concerning stainless steels.
